I woke up one day
not knowing who I was
The woman in the mirror
not even a shadow left
empty eyes
wounded by hidden tears
I tried to look
beyond the eyes
for a little spark
a glimpse of life
just something
behind the emptyness
And there it was
a little glow
just enough to hope
to find back
what I thought I've lost
that little girl inside
She brought me back to life
And finally I see...
That she was always there
deep inside of me....

Yes...and you only needed to open the door
just a little for her to come out and come
in....

Hon you let that little girl out and let her play and laugh till her sides hurt! Thank goodness you saw that little bit of glow!
Hugs, Marti

Hon, thank goodness you saw that little glow and let the little girl out. Let her laugh and play and have a wonderful time.

I really enjoyed your poem, Neeraja...
I've had bad hair days, but you sound like you had a bad self day...
I sure am glad that you caught that litlte glow and set yourself free.

We never completely disappear, although
it seems like there are days when we cannot
even find ourself in the lost & found department...

well done, Neeraja...
