someone
somewhere
dance with me...
someone?
fill my arms.

Fill this cavity
of chest...
someone
keep me
safe from harm.

someone
somewhere--
dance with me?
erasing emptiness...
Let there
be a hole in fill
dread
for shadows
of duress.

a body, warm
to block the light.
A reason
crawling
there's no flight
a reason, begging,
emptiness
oh grant me my
forgetfulness...

mercy
tented, lack of me--
they all laugh now--
scorning me

scorching me
in yellow's bright
the logic of
the white
spot-light

buried layers
in the paint
(smiley-faced)
I am.
I ain't.

Leaded yellow's cadmium
begging blush of difference.

I stare into the mirror now.
I paint my lips in curl of smile.
I gaze into a depth of me--
tossing pennies, left unspent.

Copper's generosity--
I let this robe fall to the floor,
my lips are smiling
in paint's war--
toss me pennies--I am spent.

this begins almost like a lonely lullabye then canters into war song... and there are several things I'm picking up that might not even be intended... I don't think I understand it all, but, still enjoyed it (heh. sounds like many nights before ~snort~)

damn, I love that last line. a dagger, karen... no, more final, like the last stomp to a tango... this was a whirl, girly... sometime you'll have to explain it to me.

loveya.~m

p.s. and can I say that I've always wanted someone who would pull me off the couch and dance barefoot in the living room? sighness. this took me there a moment...

Let the pennies lay,
We’ll pick them up another day,

Your lights so bright..it blinds them...
your rhymes are worth their weight in poetic gold... so is the poetess who penned them.

How she loves me, I dont understand
If time wont change me, perhaps she can
And I feel her trying when were apart
God dont let me break her heart
