I Belong I watch my steps as I reach the stars Emptiness below I see dreams of mars I touch my soul and feel comfort Endless days of pain come in retort I've left tears behind but my heart hovers I talk to years of words in a narrow alley Finding truths I never could, hidden round corners I lift my head and see my youth so astray I seek no pity on the edge of heaven All I want is my resting place And as I lay down my life's journey On a bed of camellias surrounded by rainbows I will have eternity as my friend Paradise as my home, and my garden of reflection Let me mend the years of sorrow So I shall never reach for another tomorrow Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) [This message has been edited by Daniel J D (07-24-2002 11:23 PM).] |
