three people wrote this
and they share
the same name

A Mountain -- 1974

the mountain is way out in the country.
my mom and I live on the top of it
in a big house.
we live on the top floor.
our roof leaks everytime it rains.
the pots and pans go ping, ping, ping.
the storms scare me though,
because a big tree outside my bedroom
always wants to come inside and smash stuff.
summertime is hot, so we use big fans.
my babysitter picks her boyfriend's pimples
on the couch.
I like my cowboy christmas presents.
I miss my dad

A Stupid Little Hill -- 1988

This damned stupid little hill..
I'll problably live here until I die.
I'm only renting this apartment because
it's cheap.
Screw the neighbors if they don't like
The Doors or Hendrix!
I hope the smell doesn't make them knock.
It's 3am and I'm not lonely.
My vodka and Nintendo keep me company
better than any human could.
I should do the dishes so the ants will leave,
and my sheets are getting too yellow.
A Beautiful Place To Live -- 2002

The nights sounds sing to me
saying -welcome back, child
we've missed you-
and I you.
Away from city speed,
I feel no need to shoulder my armor.
My wife tends to the unflowered acre
that our little one adores
and I watch them
through strands of fireflies
and I thank my ancient
pied-piper
for giving me another chance

I never aimed at reality; I aimed at truth. --Orson Welles

BS,
Perspectives changing as we age.
Wierd, isn't it?
You seem to have made some peace with your mountain.
You seem to have made some peace with your self, as well.

I guess we'll have to wait a bit for
