I remember... When I was a toddler I went out to play with my brother In only my underwear and a shirt I was so embarassed I ran back inside I remember... When I was in the 5th grade And broke my leg Racing a girl Oh stupid me I couldn't stop in enough time You see I remember... When I would sit in the back yard And make mud pies with my cousin What a mess? We should have played with mud less I remember... Every summer walking to my cousin's house And spending the day with him And going to Food Lion Buying mass quantities of food Eating it when we got back to his house Those were the days I remember... When my brother and sister Would bribe me To do dishes for them With a dollar And I fell for it I remember... The late night rides with my Dad To the beach I would run along the beach With a flash light in hand One time we even did this when I had bronchitis Ran on the beach In my nightgown and robe It was fun. I remember... Cold hands means a warm heart |
