(This happened this morning.)



I awoke at 2 a.m.
To momma screaming for me
To watch the cat
While she got the cat carrier

Poor Hobbes looked so sick
He was so nauesous his chops he did lick
My poor baby

By 2:30 a.m. we had him in the carrier
And we were on our way

We reached the animal hospital at 2:45 a.m.
They took him to a room
He could feel the gloom

They took him out of the carrier
To another room
To take his temp
And get his weight

After awhile the Vet came in
Felt around his belly
His cries made me feel sad
It was so bad

They said,
"It may be his kidney."
Told us to get some x-rays
Blood work
And a uranalysis
My poor kitty

They rehydrated him
And gave him a shot of antibiotic
To get him until his
Real Vet visit at 7:45
I just hope it is something
They can treat

He is just 10 years old
He is being strong and bold
On all our hearts
He has a hold
