There is something indescribable
on this night bound train of thought

Filigree dreams billow in on velvet temper

Dark clouds appear ominous
to those with only narrow eyes
I am refined in clattering chains of rain
peppering tin, bringing me rhythm

Thunder embosses me into the mystique

Of all things drowning my mind
Tomorrow seems to exasperate me the most

This jewel beats within me timeless
swinging as if an amulet of moments
but only a sapphire soldered likeness
as blue as an evening, lanced open

bleeding forth comforting awareness
that I still believe
in my own essence of being
enough to ask for one more day
the same way as this one began

Girl, bleed some of that rain this way, would you?  PLEASE?  And wring it out as tight as you did this gem....

Regina

"as blue as an evening, lanced open"

Your words always take me and make me wish that I could as well as you do.  Always a pleasure to read the poetry of you.

each morning is new, almost sacred.
A new day,
a new chance...
and may each of yours be just as beautiful as the words of this.  Reading your poetry is a new experience, each time.
Always something so unique, so you...
and you is a beautiful thing dear somy~

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.

Thunder embosses me into the mystique

Well ....... THAT is poetry with a message and a lesson.  Here is wishing you many jewels of sunrises to wake up to each day.

"Filigree" is the perfect word to describe your poetry...
love the unigue imagery and metaphor you wrote to poetic perfection in this...
also the hint of rhyme and rhythm to create the feel of the rain and your mood.

now how cool is that line and image.
uniquely you.
well done poetess Reggie.

to solder with sapphires. . . makes one think of a crystal blue flow. . . from the heart no less. . .

great work Reg. . .
