Will the feelings of love ever come back
I can't seem to find them anywhere
I search my heart each and everyday
I haven't found them to still be there

Before, when I thought they were gone
They seemed to pop back up sometimes
It's been quite a while since they came
Those feelings are hard for me to find

I tried to hang on to the hope you gave
But, never saw the hope to hang onto
I listened to everything you told me
Doing everything you wanted me to do

It seems I could never do enough for you
You always wanted even more from me
Whenever I would feel the pain inside
You just turned and walked away you see

There were times you said you did love me
It was so hard for me to believe it was true
Words don't mean anything~actions speak louder
This love you spoke about, I never saw in you

If the feeling of love is not in your heart
There is no way you can give it to someone else
When you truely care about how someone feels
Then you won't always think about yourself

I opened up my heart, giving you all I had inside
My love you took, always pushing it all away
The door to my heart closed a little more
It was with my heart it seems I had to pay

I really felt your emotions in this piece!

These final verses are very insightful and poignant!

See my email to you. This is very much a universal feeling. How painful love can be,
how high our expectations are. If poetry is the art of communication and our words tools to connect. Then know, that you are not alone and be assured that there are many who are looking for the same answers you are and ready to try again...
