Run To You Evenings slow ride has shed nighttime's face For day has lost to moonlights race The sun died in the arms of a whippoorwill And, I'm down with the power of lonesomeness chill... It's all in the way that night stares at me Where the echo of fear gains all it's speed And, I bow down with the breeze just to make it through The only road I know running to you... In an empty attempt to reach what's ever far I wipe the tears and kneel to the brightest star Hollow wishes to where their even going to So, I close my eyes in a sigh and just picture you... I have to run quickly from my past like voice A road many times traveled but never by choice But, allow me the way to bypass all this blue Cause, My Dear Man, I only know how to run to you... If by the grace of God you can hear this song Let me find you somewhere other then gone Reach your arms across the heavens tonight And, place your hands in mine and hold on tight... Cause, I'm in the middle of wanting to make this rain end For, fear seems to win over and over again And, I've really nowhere to go since nighttime's grown And, not a single place tonight I can call home... I will the take miles to anywhere If in the distance ahead you'll meet me there A little life falls in the path of these tears I pray my run to you now be something you hear...
