I feel so far
so far
removed
from reality
of shovelfuls
of tossed earth
on shiny brass boxes
and the irony
of the finalty
of insertion
into a tunnel
of eternity
"from whence we came,
we go again"
watching
in disbelief
as they fall
like dominoes
and leaving flowers
left to die
in honor of the dead
and the mid-morning
echoed memories
of the voices
once so soothing
and the touch
I cannot feel
and I weep
and walk
the floors alone--
nobody's baby
anymore...
