What ‘our ‘as Come?

“Red sky at night, sailor’s delight;
red sky at morning, sailor’s take warning.”

What is the 'our;
I’ve just 'ad me shower
and Matey is ‘avin’ ‘is tea.
Should we be some worried,
to ‘ome port be ‘urried
or rest in the light on the sea?

I said, “Ahoy, Mate,
is it early or late?
Look at the sky on the sea.”
“It’s early, Dear Captain,
I spoke to the Chaplain,
‘e’s prayin’ for you and for me.”

I stifled my yawning
faced the ‘arsh dawning
and grabbed the two oars at my knee.
“Sip all from your teacup;
please don’t you dare ‘iccup,
but gather two oars like as me.”

“We’ve need for to ‘urry
so we don’t get buried
beneath a storm-laden sea.
Gather your courage,
don’t be discouraged,
the sea is a great friend to me.”

We struggled for ‘ours
then spotted the towers
that rise near the cove at Kalee.
The cargo had rotted,
but we both were spotted
and saved from disaster at sea.

The moral to the story
to keep it ungory
relax, pray and 'ave tea.
When the captain 'as showered
and proves not a coward,
‘e’ll bring you to land valiantly.

So, if the ‘our is early
with the skies very pearly
ye know that a warnin’s at 'and,
just settle back
with your cup in a rack
till ‘e says to ‘ead for the land.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
