of Depression

Laying down,
Listening to muted sound,
All around,
As hearts pound,
Faintly in the aged body,
Barely here
Barely there,
Barely something left to see,
Shallow rest,
Waking test
If will continue to be
And then found
Within this reality.

Gloom

Your words you lay down
are silent in sound,
But I hear them run through my head.
If you were here, no longer there
bared we'd be found, instead.
I'm teasing from here,
trying to steer
these words to be making some sense.
Aged or not, you are not forgot
as I respond to your gloom in defense.

oh well, I couldn't sleep, this poison ivy really itches and I don't think I can come up with a poem for it..so you got this one instead.

Interesting concepts.  Sometimes reality is what we make it?  Just a thought.
Good poem.
