Heavenly Angels gathered quietly
to hear the tale of another arrival
they listened as God whispered
of the loss of child’s survival

They turned to meet her at the gate
as all Heaven welcomed her in
they folded her in loving arms
and smiled back at her sweet grin

One Angel stood off to the side
a question lurking on his face
"God," he asked sincerely
“why uproot this child from her place?”

God smiled and placed his hand
upon the Angel’s arm
“Son,” he said quietly
“because she knew great harm”

“when my children suffer young
they are held more precious here
suffer the children to come to me
to replace joy for their fear”

“I may be reviled on Earth
as many wail out their whys
but each innocent given unto me
sheds a light upon Evil’s disquise”

The Angel turned to watch the child
as she played with an elder’s wing
and in the quiet summer night
he heard the child sing

“she seems to have forgotten
the anguish suffered in her past”
God smiled, “she now is free
she’s home, safe at last”

Very Touching.Words from an angel could never be sweeter.
We will never know why this had to happen,
but I'm sure she is in a better place now.
I work for the same company as her mother, B.P. so this is like losing a family member.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Sharon, this made me cry, this is soooooo beautifully touching, sweet friend, my heart goes out to all the families who lose a child so young though I know He will always bring them comfort and love and they will always guide their parents as angels! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, now I'm wiping tears here, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Sadly beautiful. The story of Samantha is heartbreaking, but I too believe she is now safe in the arms of God.

Poet De Vine, you wrote a precious poem here.  And I've always felt the same sentiments you wrote here too... that children who left the earth is God's way of an early reunion in heaven.

Keep counting your blessings
