I was always considered slow
I have a learning disability
But so

There are so many like me out there
But we get along
And some people are fair

But not only learning disabilites
Make people slow
Sometimes it is caused by sickness
And even old age

So this whole world can be considered
A slow man's land
Whether people like it or not
Not just people with learning disabilites like me
Are slow as can be
In this slow man's land

Cold hands means a warm heart

I like this very much, loner... I don't think I'd ever appreciated how fast the world moves or how hard it is to move slowly until I had a concussion... It would take two cycles of the traffic light for me to cross the street... and it's scary out there in the middle. *S*

Great one, Loner. My brother has a learning disability, too, and I know how frustrating it can be to never break over the mental wall erected in th' mind.

Thanks for sharin' this!

You know I think everyone has a disability of some sort...everyone is slower at something... but  with learning disabilities there are coping skills and obviously you have met that challenge

*smiles* I agree with Maureen, Julie....
Sometimes our disabilities give us coping skills that no one else has...
and you probably have developed special strengths to make up for your disability...
like the way blind people can actually "feel" colors, and deaf people can hear things through vibrations.
