On A Journey To The Unknown

When the weather turns to spring
And the grass all turns so green
The birds all come out to sing

I see them sitting up in the tree
There may be two or even three
Just sitting there staring at me

One may fly down to the yard
While the others stand their guard
There may even be a meadow lark

I love to watch the birds flying high
Once in a while they do stop by
As if they want to tell me hi

No longer do they come to stay
None of them have I seen today
The cats always chase them away

(big hugggsssssss) Awwwwww, I'm sorry that the cats are scaring the birds away, sweet friend, I love birds so so much, the sparrow is my favorite one! (kiss on cheek) I hope tomorrow the cats are preoccupied so the birds can sing again to you, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Nice poem, Sue...
Its too bad about the nasty cats...

Maybe you should get some pet chipmunks instead...
they don't scare the birds.

Sue, they will be back at ya as soon as you try to do something in the yard, like hanging out the laundry!!  I want to get a bird feeder, but the lady down the lane has about 100 cats, so I'd have to hang it from the lamp post!!  Loved this one, my friend!!

Open the door and let your adventure begin!!!

Sue,
I have heard (on good authority) that the birds in Oklahoma fly higher than in other states.  Those damn Okie cats jump at least
2 feet more than anywhere else!!
Kind thoughts

Sue,
Really nice poem. From the title I expected something else. Well done. Btw, medow, as you know, is spelled meadow. Thought you'd want to correct. Nice fun write.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Noah, I am glad you liked it. Yes, I do hope the cats are preoccupied tomorrow.

  Thank you!

Madame Chipmunk
Thank you, Lyra! Actually, I wouldn't mind having some chipmunks, too.

Marge Tindal
Yes Marge! I thought of you when I was writing this. I just didn't think about the cats bothering the birds, When I got the mama and her 2 baby kittens. One of the babies disappeared, though. So, that only left 2. But, that darn Miss Molly just had to go and have some more babies. Now, I am overwhelmed with cats. I'm happy to hear about your love birds.

Balladeer
Oh my, Balladeer! You mean you have cats in your yard, too?

devina
Yep, I guess that is what I will have to do. One the cats can't climb.

Sunnyone
I am glad you liked it.

Music Maker
It does seem like these cats can jump pretty high.

Larry C
I am glad you liked this. And, just so you know, yes I do know how to spell. LOL! But, my thinking doesn't seem to be very good, sometimes. Either that, or I am just plain worn out tired.
