Cry No More

I shall cry no more,
for you have shown me
who I can be, what I am capable of,
if only I take those steps
and make the future mine.

I shall not cry tears
for that which I can't have,
for that which is held from me,
for that which may keep me
away from you...

My  body calls out,
my heart is yours, the time is now,
you are the measure of my day.
I want to live in the present,
everything to be fresh and new.

You have nurtured me
through my trials, tuned in
to my signals, sometimes so subtle
that I, myself, don't realize their release.

I am grateful for you, for having
helped bring a sense of peacefulness
to my life and when the nights
take me on "mental hikes",
I am caressed into contentment,
walking hand in hand, sensing you,
your touch, your voice, your kisses,
until I am lulled into a final sequel of you
and slowly drift off to sleep.

Tonight I feel inner peace,
my day may be ending,
but tomorrow awaits.

of course...it only begins.
I love this.

Lyra, a great relationship...probably in my own mind, but I will take what comes my way...or I may later regret never having it at all. Thank you Lyra

Balladeer....peace of mind and sense of belonging... yes that's how it is supposed to feel. Thank you for those words.

Lori, each day is a gift, some come  beautifully wrapped and others are beautiful
in their own right.

I am sorry I keep missing you on here, east/west coast timing, and me not being able to stay awake as long for some reason.
hugsss
