There Is Nothing Like Coming Home

I used to frequent other sites
but none had felt like home
so I made a daily journey
across the internet I'd roam.

Then one day in passing
some friends had said to me
there is this place called PIP
where you can post your poetry.

So then I visited Passions
and I really liked this place
it had this very special way
of putting a smile upon my face.

I read a lot of poems
posted a few of my own
and in a very short time
I realized that I had grown.

It was not just mere words
that everyone wanted to share
these folks were really 'real'
and they weren't afraid to care.

I thank my friends from the past
for showing me the way to PIP
the daily journey has finally ended
these blue pages are now my daily trip.

Whether sharing happiness or sad
no one ever need to be alone
I have learned the old saying is true
there is nothing like coming home.

Ya see Passions is not just about poems
it's about life and being friends
it's more than just words on a page
it's a loving circle that never ends.

(Thanks to Moonchild and our dear Wilfred Yeats for showing me the way to passions)

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.

Very nice,
It has been enjoyable to see you grow

ah Nancy, you are a sweetie....thank you.

Yes Karilea if it wouldn't have been for them I wouldn't have found my way here either.  Of course Wilfred is missed, and of course I have to thank M also!

I am so glad that we both came home to this remarkable place, Donna...
It is more than a website...it is a home and we are a loving family.

You know this made me cry as you sure speak for me too.  I think Ron would be so glad to read the last stanza of this poem as that was his intention to make a place for friends to gather that was safe and friendly, and well run.  Your poem is absolutely wonderful, and the sentiments I am sure are shared by us all.  I am so glad you found this place and so am I, here's to Ron for making it, and to you and everyone else for making it what it is today!  Beauiful job.

Nothing means more to me than faith,
family and my friends.

Donna, this is nice to read, I feel like I have found a home here as well. We are lucky that Ron decided to start this site where we found all these special friends.

Hello Donna

I applaud you and your wonderful words which were so heartfelt and I think summed up the thoughts of many about PIP.  It has felt like a second home for me since day one and I feel so fortunate to be able to share my thoughts with an abundance of talented people who are sincere and genuine.

Take care......Sue

There's nothing like a rhyme
to help me keep the time.
And when my thoughts are tumblin'
All wretched and a fumblin'.
I read these gentle pages
Which one cannot buy for wages
and bow in humble pose
To hearts open like a rose

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Donna, when I was invited to visit here, I  thought it a delight..so much to read, so many styles and forums...and I could barely contain myself inviting those from elsewhere who were tired of the anon games that go on and tired of those who just like to flame to see the reactions.

Wilfred was one of the first told, then you and  before we knew it, so many of our friends followed us here, making it even cozier. Thank you for  trusting me..and  yes I miss Bill too...I still have one of his last emails to me in my filing cabinet...and was  just a few days short of  being able to meet him. He had a special feel for poetry and for his friends (of which he had many)

hugsssss and thank you,
Maureen (Moonchild)

I have looked through the archives.  He was a good writer, and friend to all it seems.
He blessed us when he and Moon brought you here.
