my arms strengthless,
as if steel rods are implanted
piercing numbness, when
i try to clench my fists, an acute
reminder of the events of yesterday

out at sea, under the mercy of
choppy blackish waves and sunburning skin,
i tried darnest to stand upright
i grined smugly for five seconds, then
Poof!
the magic's gone and off i fell,
headfirst into the waters

Too late to conceal my grin,
i drank (too much) salt water
It poached my sense of well-being,
left me shrivelled, dying of thirst

alone in the middle of nowhere,
(let's ignore technicalities here)
caught up in the marvels of
the benevolent sun, waving trees
and the occassional plane,
i felt liberated and stress-free,
contributed to the waters(read: peed)
and anxiously waited for
the boat to come around
to allow me the chance
to
F
A
L
L
again ...

WOW!!! Oh my gosh, I love the diversity of tones in this, sweet friend, it's as if first of all you are glum then you go for a swim and now you have relieved yourself of the stress and am starting to have a good time! (smiles) I love both the seriousness and the humor of this, sweet friednd, it is excellent, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Heng, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Noah, thanks for your comment..i have tried to write in a different style for this poem...glad that you enjoyed it and that my feeble attempts have worked for you...

loner_23, thanks!

Sandra, oh yes, wakeboarding is great fun, albeit very heavy on the pocket...i spent about US$25 for a 4hr joy ride ..trying desperately to save money again so that i can yet again experience "fun little ride on the waves"...

thanks James for reading...you can rest assured that i will follow your advice!
