THE ORIGINAL !!!!

Years ago - when I used to partake of the 'Amber Nectar', and driving with a couple or three was not as criminally insane as it is now, whenever a police car pulled me over, I would recite these lines to the Police Constable to reassure him that I was really as sober as a Judge!

Shtartle, Shtartle, Little Twink.
I'm not as peed as drunkle think.
I'm not under the affluence of Incohol,
Though many thinkle peep I am!!
'Good Consternoon, Afterble!!!

'Mind yer fingers!'  Clang!! was the inevitable response!

Of course, as I said in one of my previous postings, I learnt my nursery rhymes in the 'Kings English' - and this one started.......
Scintilate, Scintilate, diminutive asteriod,
In wonderment of your personage I am bewildered.

I would request some more of the
King's English version of your poetry...
just to see where it was taken!

Well done!

Thanks for the kind comments.   I am a 'light hearted' little soul, and with due respect to all in here, I just do not take myself too seriously!   Life is for fun, and I enjoy every minute of it, and yes... I will post some more of my 'Kings English' stuff, I just have to dig deeply into the dark, and long time neglected recesses of this old brain of mine.
Kind thoughts

A very belated welcome to Passions.  Now I can see why our lady of the keyboards is smiling these days.
