         The Great Design

         the Message, so simple
         with an application: so challenging
         immaculately sketched from perfect stokes
Each word, a day in someone's life
Each line, a prayer for redemption
a language primer to teach man
how to speak to give thanks
how to read, in order to understand

I thought the lessons would be easier
as I became a better student
but the more I think I learned
         the less I measured up.
         Still, with chaos brewing inside
praise and gratitude tumble from lips
as easily as clouds collide in baby-breezes
overlapping in wondrous arrays of heavenly softness

I don't pretend to understand the reasoning
         behind the Great Design
         but there is serene comfort
         in trusting one's destiny
to the hands of the Designer
             ~      ~       ~

(please get well, Lauren, and accept this humble
offering for comfort:  an explanation by way of nonexplanation)
Jeff

All things are in His hands;
it is amazing we think we are
in control...
we are fools.

Well done, Jeff.  She will take
great comfort from this...

Woweee - what a lovely way of expressing the way that our pathway through life is ordained, I have printed this one out.

I have to tell you, that many years ago, I discovered the meaning of life, and wrote it down, but sadly, I misplaced it and have never found it.
Kind thoughts

Jeff, your poem is as a prayer a sweet smelling incense that rises to the eye and ear of God.

The trick is in trusting the designer.  Well done Jeff.

but the more I think I learned
the less I measured up.

Life is a gift that is too often taken for granted, when there is so much more to it than sweatin' the small stuff.

We all have our own designs but freinds are hard to come by, and it's difficult when we are so near and dear and yet so faraway.

sigh~   You say it so well Jeff~

I lean against the wind pretend I am weightless and in this moment I am happy
