~* An Apparition ~ Well Maybe *~

Play Swan Lake

As the day drew nearer
I thought my heart
would surely shatter.
This void is so persistent.
The pain so dense,
Then suddenly she came.
An apparition ~ well maybe.
She comes in so many ways.
In the open daylight,
or hidden in disguise.
She is a beautiful flower to
dry the tears in my eyes.
A bird’s song
to lull away the pain.
When I need her,
she is there.
There is a chill
but I feel her touch
as she passes through me.
That tenderness touches me
in such a way that the very
chill of her sets my
tormented heart and spirit free.

My sorrow suddenly sifts
like sand through my hands.
I begin to somehow understand
the placidity in this unique
unanswered finality,
her hereafter, in my now.

Her love is the kind of
feeling that I could never
begin to even explain.
It is such an all-consuming warmth
generated from the chill
she creates when
her presence fills any room.

In just this one year
I have learned so much.
I know we are forever friends.
For us there is no end.
An apparition ~ well maybe.

~* In loving memory of my friend Jenna (Willow) *~

On reading this, I couldn't help but think of what a beautiful friendship that you have with your friend. I believe that the ties that bind us here are carried on, and those we love are always with us. This wonderful writing imparts that same sense, and is a joy to read.........thank you for sharing it, my friend.......

Open the door and let your adventure begin!!!

I want increasingly to believe that Love lives beyond our mortal steps. Enjoyed.

And I want to believe that she continues to write through you, and we share then, in the dance of life....

What a beautiful tribute to your friend. I am so sorry for your loss. May the memories you have of her bring you comfort and peace.

This is so beautifully written; it touched my heart and brought a tear.
Hugs, Marti

Perhaps there are planes that we cannot see but feel forever. Surely friendship so deep would be one that did cross all borders of knowing. You amaze me always.

Sincerely,

Thank you all for reading this one, it was an important one to me at this time.  Not really a poem and more of a ramble but nonetheless it had to be done.

Its hard to believe its been a year already...I know all too well how heavy that first years milestone comes round... as always your words of her do her justice...she will always be your most giving muse...
you honor her with grace ...
she holds you close in the traces left behind.

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much ...
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch.
