Coming Home (How I came to be here)
By Larry Chadwick

It seemed to be a bumpy start,
Writing poetry from my heart.
My first attempt was in grade school,
And was considered just shallow drool.

My next attempt was as a young married boy,
Where my efforts were considered inept not coy.
I abandoned romantic poems for playful stories,
And discovered much joy and occasionally glory.

But seldom did the muse offer her inspire,
Even when sitting by a warm glowing fire.
Until Cindi offered me a chance to see this site,
It was September 10 the day before our awful fright.

I prefer to write about the lighter side of things,
But as of late am drawn by more serious musings.
For friendships here have depth that know no end,
What a wonderful place to be if your heart needs to mend.
July 12, 2002

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Larry, I am so glad that both you and I have found this wonderful family and this beautiful home.
Whichever crooked roads may have led each of us here, I am so glad that we have each other and you are so right about this being the right place to be if your heart needs mending.
~ heartfelt hugs to my brother, Larry C
from your sister, Madame C

Lyra,
How did you know I needed a sister?! And bless you...I truly hope you know how much I care for you. I want for all to be well with you but mostly I wish you courage and peace.

Duncan,
What a wonderful man you are. Thank you for always being there and encouraging me.

BRAVO!!! Oh Larry, I'm so so happy you're here, sweet friend, I believe that really time and understanding is what inspires a poet to begin writing, I could already write when I was 4 years old and in school tests I have always had high scores in vocabulary, but I never got that interested until the beauty touched my heart when I read poetry in my sophomore English class! (big hugggssssss) We're all soooooo proud of you and of the loving and wonderful words you write, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I can't say I would have missed you if you had never come but you did come and now I know I would miss you like crazy if you ever went away again.

I do believe Passions has become known for a miracle or two, as well.  I've never seen a community quite like this; I doubt it truly has an equal.  And sir?  From you, I would wish to continue reading poetry, and prose, and seeing your smile.  Thank you for all you have brought to the blue halls.

Thanks for sharing. It is nice to have you here.

Sunnyone,
I don't believe we've met. But thank you very much.

Keth,
You're too funny. It's nice to know I'd be missed. Just for the record, I'm thrilled you're here and have enjoyed your friendship as well.

Karilea,
Thank you dear friend. Where would I be without you.

Sy,
I'm so glad I am here to have made your aquaintance as well. Now if there would just be a gathering on the west coast.

It's no wonder it took me a while to find you. *S* On the day you joined, my car was suffering the results of a bad tank of gas and had me stranded in another state... and the day I got back to a computer, our innocence disappeared.

I know the reasons you're glad you found us... I hope you also realize how glad WE are. *S*
