I hate mowing the lawn
In the heat it feels like a sauna

The grass is high and tall
Rough to cut
In the hot sun

Evertime I mow the lawn
My allergies act up
Oh yuck

Cold hands means a warm heart

Grass just grows. It really doesn't care if you cut it or not!

But actually, I'd like to take this opportunity to warn everyone about heat stroke. If you live in an area that is suffering through this intense heat wave--please be careful regarding heat stroke. My fiance's father died last year--cutting the grass. Two days later--his father's friend, WHO HAD BEEN TO THE SERVICES--died cutting the grass. Any outdoor activity should be approached with caution. I suggest wearing those freezer gel packs around the neck, hats, plenty of water and having the good sense to either wake early or wait until evening...please be careful folks..heat stroke affects the thought processes--you may not even realize the gravity of the situation. Sigh...okay, I'm off the soap box now...sorry loner poet lady...I DO get carried away (but better carried away HERE...then, um...on a stretcher?)

and? let the damned grass grow, I say. That's what it DOES!!

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Julie, I know just how you feel, follow Karen's advice that she just said for I agree with her and only mow on days that are not a ssunny and are more refreshing! (sigh) This is a wonderful humorous poem, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Julie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I love mowing the lawn...I seem to get good exercise and  also keeps my mind off  the worries as I have to  go under and around the shrubs and flower gardens...

I'd mow yours too if I could reach it *s

If God had meant for grass to be 1/2 inch high he would have made it grow up that high and bend over and grow along the ground.I use to tell my ex to put a flare gun next to the back door in case someone was afraid of getting lost in the tall grass.

And this dear friend is why I hired someone to do it! Worst job in the world!

Glad someone else hates it as much as I do. Thanks for writing this.  Hugs, Marti

A humorous, gentle piece. Thank you for the levity(sp?).

Sincerely,

Oh yuck... mowing the lawn is so gross.     I totally know where you're coming from.
