In a moment of sadness
A decision is made
That affects future life and my hope
To write out the madness
With spirit half slayed
In a world that can't teach us to cope

Forget all the sorrow
It's not likely I can
So my world became narrow and bound
No hope for tomorrow
Heart hollow and wan
With my life tied up tight to death's hound

Past filled with regret
And sorrow in reign
For the changes that I could not make
No power of forget
So I lived with the pain
And learned not to trust or to take

In a moment of sadness
My whole life was changed
For I stumbled on pages so blue
So I wrote out my madness
And my spirit deranged
Became soft and calm 'cause of you

You showed me compassion
And held me through fears
Set the dark of my night blazing bright
My start at Passions
Was moulded by tears
Yet I walked hand in hand to the light

Though days can drag out
As the memories sear
In my heart I just know I've moved on
And I write in glad shout
That I'm proud I found here
And you asked me to join Passion's song

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Where IS this challenge?  I haven't found it yet, but it is simple enough, and you are making me want to say why I came, and why I stay...this let's us in to YOU, Kethry, and getting to know you better is like holding up a mirror...

Well done, dear...

Keth darling sister of my heart and keeper of the stars incandescent shine, this reflection of your soul is one of the best, the very best I’ve ever read by you. You have in this wonderful flow of words written your heart, shown me a glimpse of the soul that lay within. In this utterly perfect poem you’ve excelled yourself yet again. This is indeed something special since it shows the view of you that was and what now is, it reveals your soul dressed in beauty’s gown and free from the pain that brought you here. The lines of this delight are superb, truly awesome. Yet again you’ve written something that will stand through all time and sing the words of your souls triumph.

This is truly exquisite writing and I love it love it love it utterly. As always darling heart YOU are perfection personified and I love it

Love and warm stuff
As always

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Lynne,
What a delightful reveal. Makes me want to know more. But I certainly can relate to the benefits of being here. Excellent poem. Thanks.

Show you care to those you love...today.

Hi Keth, this is a sweet poem. I love happy endings, don't you? And in spite of all the misery in life, we have a little piece of happiness here. And I know you treasure it as I do.

keth,

this is both beautiful and elegant...written
with just your style and choice words...
lovely throughout, you made me smile.
this is your finest write. you do shine,
just like the stars. I'm so glad you are
here and to know you. God bless.
take care.

Pain may have brought you here, but I have watched you take away many others pain in your wonderful writes and tributes.  You always seem to be at the head of the line when it comes to cheering others up and you have gained much respect from that.  Your poetry has grown in it's depth and polish as well and it is always a plearsure to read you.  Well done on the challenge.  The insight was open and held no bounds.
