Never Settling

I asked him if he wanted me,
needed me, desired me,
and he stood there dumbfounded
as I am usually the meek,
and he,the wild.

I entrusted him with my love,
baring all, sometimes more
than he could handle.
For inside of me, the strongest urges
were finally rising, demanding to be met
and the craving of him,
the tall of his body
against the soft of mine,
was so intense that he had no choice
but to satisfy and show his expertise,
teaching me along the way.

There were echoes of our love,
reaching the corners and back again
as the night drove us on,
never settling on a destination.
It was as if we had nowhere to go but up...
and for me, that was the only place
I wished to be.

M
