I forgot to remember the magic of you
And all of the wonder that you led me through
When love was the promise, held just for we two
I guess I forgot to remember

I forgot to remember your passionate kiss
And all of the loving that brought me to bliss
The hustle of living has brought me to this
It seems I forgot to remember

I forgot all the reasons our love would be true
And all of the times when the world held just you
When all of my yearnings had come into view
In my heart I forgot to remember

I forgot all the promises made on that day
And all of the things that I loved you to say
No cherishing thoughts to brighten the way
It's so sad, I forgot to remember

Alone, all alone so wrinkled and grey
I recall the promise of our wedding day
And rue the waste that our love could not stay
Because I forgot to remember

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Keth beloved heart sister and writer of rainbows promise how utterly utterly perfect is this, these words are silvered in starlight and arrayed in their best gown to bewitch and enchant. This is a note that rings from a crystal bell sweet and shimmering in the morning light. These utterances from a heart that has lost its memory, how wonderfully you write them. How utterly utterly perfect is this

You know I love this, as always it is  beautifully written, simple exquisite and elegant writing. I love it utterly utterly utterly

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire

Kethry

Sometimes the wisdom of these words comes to late...we take so much for granted.  Enjoyed this thoughtful poem!

Not only is this a Keeper, but a Printer.  My daughter is getting married soon.  I might tuck this into a little gift...just a little reminder that I pray she never forgets....

Finding myself in what I hope will be the beginning of a very long story, I will remember, not to forget.

This poem should be given to every couple before they get married...
It is a 5 star lesson, Keth...
and very well penned, indeed!

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Kethry, this is so very heartbreaking, sweet friend, though I hope this doesn't relate to yourself or someone close to you I know so many go through this experience and my heart and sympathies go out to them all! (sad sigh) This is powerfully sad, sweet friend, my heart goes out to you, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kethry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Keth,
Karilea is so right! What awesome writing. For sure a keeper and going into my library. Wonderful, wonderful writing. Bless you...

Forgive me for double dipping but I just read this again.  And had a second thought.  (It's amazing that I had the first...lol)
That thought was simply this...how could I ever forget?  She is engraved perfectly on every surviving brain/heart cell that I have.  I may be forgetful but I hope I am never too 'busy' to remember how she makes me feel...today.
Thanks for this...again.

Have I mentioned today that I love you?

Kethry - what a lovely piece of work.
Its meter scans beautifully, and beautiful words.   I feel I want to write a tune to go with this - Who knows, it could be a hit - but aaah, there are so many lovely words and thoughts in this forum that I can show no favouritism, and will stick to putting music to Sunny's poems.  (Only about another 50 to do !!!!!)
Kind thoughts.
