Summer Easing

pulled a thread the other day,
almost leaving me naked
with thoughts unraveling the past
began to leave its desired effect
forgotten were the moments of hurt,
and the more I moved,
the shorter the memory
until the ease of the night
brought peace in the sound
of the cool air blowing softly...
listening only to the music
made by the garden chimes

"Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less."
(Will Moss)

Maureen - this is a wonderful poem - one ponders how many of those threads we have and whether we should pull them of let them be - I think oour poetry reflects our thread pulling to use your wonderful metaphor - loved it - Paul

Maureen,
are you becoming unravelled? - if so it's a wonderful way to go.

Hey Keth...I think I have been unraveling for about 3 years now..maybe its finally coming to an end..I am beginning to feel rather naked..and I thought I already was way back when..maybe I am shedding my skin now..and learning a thing or two to  toughen this new one.
