Worth How insignificant an omnibus of someone's past is a thousand million tablets in front of a thousand million apes one finally writes 'Hamlet' another writes 'Mein Kampf' and another writes Genesis 100 years a punctuation dot in a vast work we hardly register a waterbug ripple in search of that heated mind spa to bask in in reality, it is but a slowly boiling kettle and we, the frog that senses not that he is cooking So give me a reason why this life's parsec should be granted dignity? It's a brief boardgame winner take all and when its done . . . Then again, if I failed to wake up on the birthing day I would have never seen a child being born nor the sunset over the Smokey mountains or sailboats being pushed by gulf breezes or lived to hear Beethoven or see a Rembrandt or read a Dickens Even in the blink of an eye man can create a lasting past out of inspiration out of desperation that never is outdated that never dies [This message has been edited by ShadowRider (07-11-2002 08:08 PM).] |

Sort of a twist on the ‘what’s it all about’ question, but with a possible answer. Thankx, Paul, for your reply and insight. Noah, aaaaah, the game is afoot, is it not! To have a legacy like that, would make my writing days seem worthwhile. dot dot dot, but then reality sets in.
