Quite long limbed is the family tree
which branches back through history,
results of which, was one off-shoot,
did spend some time within the "Stute".

That name, I will not here disclose,
lest you might think me one of "those",
but rather one from long ago
who I'll describe from head to toe.

'Twas maybe 16th century
was born some where in Italy,
a child nothing could amaze
not even in his early days.

It's not that he was such a brat,
(his attitude?) "Been there, done that!"
did tend to put his parents off
and cause the villagers to scoff...

"The boy is wierd, and getting worse,
'tis almost if the lad is cursed!"
For as the boy grew to a man
he said things none could understand.

In verse he spoke more cryptically,
the church decried it "heresy !"
In truth, he was a silly goose
(for even I know it's no use.)

To open minds that would stay shut,
which was the point of all this, but,
no evidence has been produced
that he was not Nostra Da Moose.

loner,
Thank you, it's nice to know someone else gets a laugh out of some of these once in a while.
Doc

GoodKnight,
Ditto the above comment to you, and, is it true what they say about " once a Knight"?
Doc

Noah,
Thanks. I've always found it fun to drag things out for a while before getting to the punch line, but you probably knew where this was headed.
