Mantilla

The moon sews mantilla lace
Exotic with a silver face
Placed on shadows shoulders bare
Threaded by a loves dare.

Erotic slow the movements heave
Hypnotic in there ancient weave
As forest odors scent and sound
Captures all within its ground.

A mix between the real and sigh
An apple pie the fruit of sly.
Where play illusions queens of old
While knights of stay are randy bold

The magic of the moon is deft
Oft taken by a spirits theft
Wove into a ring of love
Banded on a snow white dove

Its flight is veiled with art and dare
And guided to your heart with care.

My oh my ..look at Sy-babers fly ...
You do know ya just hung the moon, dont ya.
Stinkylove this is exquisite...the imagery alone in those first 2 verses would have been enough..but you took this whole inspire higher..carring the theme, metaphors and analogies to poetic perfection. The mix of mantilla lace and moonlight is enchanting.

How very beautiful!!!!
reminds me of the poems from the "moonlight shadows dancing" challenge phrase they did in here a ways back.

The magic of the moon is deft
Oft taken by a spirits theft

and how cool are the those lines

Another Sy-sigh keeper for me library of you.

This is what separates excellent poets like you from "attempting to be good" writers like me...

Incredibly written, my friend

Seymour darling boy this is one of your best, the lines of this delight are superb, truly awesome. Yet again you’ve spun words into magic and spread them in a carpet of light. How beautifully you’ve written moonlight how delicately you’ve traced the night with your amazing artistic eye. Do I love this? …….

You KNOW I do, never ever do you fail to lift a poem up to the heights of wondrous beauty.

This is truly exquisite writing and I love it love it love it………………. Utterly lovre it

Love and warm stuff

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm

Speak through the eathquake wind and fire

Hey, I used to sing this...."Mantilla Lace and a pretty face and a pony tail, hangin' down, a wiggle when she walks, a giggle when she talks...makes the world go 'round.....Oh baby you know what I like....oh wait....that's Chantilly isn't it....never mind...but truly liked your work....you are pretty damn talented...and seemingly a nice guy.....even if you do like Balladeer....
