good morning whisper of day
let me wake you gently with a kiss
and may I lay down beside you
just for a few minutes
and rub your back and shoulders

I brought you some coffee
with a hint of cream
and some berries
may I brush your lips
with them and make you smile

may I bathe you slowly today
and wash your hair too
and when I dry you after
will you suggest a lotion
that makes your skin sing alive

later, shall we walk there by the sea
will you wear your big hat of sun
and let me hold your hand
shall we pretend to be first love
when we enfold our arms

as each hour blesses us with warm
may I kiss you proudly there
on your mouth that I worship
even if others are around
may I blush you with a kiss

will you go out with me tonight
on a date for dinner at seven
can we dress in our best then
and order elegant flavors
may I feed you whispers too

and tomorrow may I wake you again

she's a fool.
An excellent way to wake

DS darling boy this is one of your best, the lines of this delight are superb, truly awesome. Yet again you’ve spun words into magic and spread them in a carpet of light. How beautifully you’ve written of the waking sigh how delicately you’ve traced the day’s warmth with your amazing artistic eye. Do I love this? …….

You KNOW I do, never ever do you fail to lift a poem up to the heights of wondrous beauty.

This is truly exquisite writing and I love it love it love it utterly.

a drop of spoonfed dream elixir
escapes the corner of her smile,
searching out neck coves where,
salted by her skin,
it becomes an ocean for them to swim in.

Could use a little dip in the ocean today...
way hot here. *s*
