Summer Memory

Memories flutter drifting there
Inside the place of hide
The touch of them
Soft they waft
Over the see of me
The dreams of this
Soft summer’s kiss

I was younger then
An age of diary page
I wrote it all
Days of summer’s sun
When heart song was sung
Entwined in the touch
Of innocence and heat

And still unbidden come
The memories floating
In the air of lost remember
Like a cooling September
Lost dreams roam
On the page of
Youth’s ardent hopes

That summer fair how fair
I flew on the swing chair
And you standing
Balancing with ease
Charmed the warm of me
Tagged me as your
Summer love
While the fair stayed
My soul you played
Ahhhh the dream
Yes the dream

And when autumn came
You went too following
In the van
I can, yes in memory,
Still can, feel the pain
Of loves depart
The hole in my heart

Memories they flutter still
Like butterflies trapped
Inside where dreams still hide
And You where are you?
Lost in my summer of memory

Krissy

And while thy willing soul transpiers
at every pore with instant fires

Krissy, for you, I would share my teenage papers, the times when I wrote like this, so sweet, so full of hope for the tomorrows to come...

I still have it, you know.  All in my own handwriting, before computers were a common household word....

Yes, Krissy, I would share it with you...

Krissy, this is wonderful. Your poem reads exactly like someone reliving their memories, very touching and with tender feelings. How you have grown!
