~*Pegged*~ While on her way to dinner With her sweetheart by her side My buddy, Marge, was smiling For her love she cannot hide Bill asked her where she'd like to go She chose her favorite place They arrived and found a table With a smile upon each face That Bill, he is a bright one and he had that Margie 'pegged' In no time she was at his feet And for his hand she begged "Please help me, my foreverly", she looked at him and said "Without you I am helpless plagued by aches and pains and dread" "My dear", said Bill, "I'm flattered by your public adoration - That you would kneel at my feet To show your dedication" He lovingly reached out his hand and pulled her to his side He said, "My Sweet, it's time I filled this hunger deep inside" "So please stay up here off the floor You needn't make a scene I'll have the chicken fried steak It's the best I've ever seen" Now Margie, she was not amused But slid into her seat And let her sweetie, Bill, believe He'd swept her off her feet ~vlraynes "...until you have read the verse on his heart, you have not truly met the poet. ~vlraynes [This message has been edited by vlraynes (07-09-2002 02:46 PM).] |
