See the sun falling,
Orange and red ball in the haze,
Strange color ending,
Canadian smoke calling,
From a far off blaze,
A brush fire is sending
Smell to our sweltering days

and you say you DON'T PAINT...

bosh.

I can SEE this...and?

I see? Therefore you PAINT.

Thank you, Serenity
Nah, this is just a chalk drawing
Watch and see it will all be smudged and blurry by the morning
Then a storm might come by
Washing them all away.
You’ll open your eyes to the morrow and it won’t be here
Will it still be painted?
Glad you enjoyed

Gloom

beautiful and sad.
these fires this summer are a drag, but you pen them with melancholy beauty.

it's our struggle for identity that leaves us all unknown

Beautifully written. Yet sad.

The smoke from Canada finally cleared and the fireworks finally went off in Harrisburg.  Nice write.

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.

I've been there a few times, in the evening with small fires going somewhere, and I love the aroma, nothing better at the end of the day...nicely done, and thanks for the reminder
