Melancholia

Melancholia slides in stain
As rain glides down the windowpane
And I a clown in frowning face
Borrowed from my inner space.

I sent my mind to touch the drops
To dance among the lops and plops
And twirled as if I were a kite
Shedding rain drops with delight.

And then I saw a rainbows path
In the showers of the bath
And flew into its downward glide
To see what treasure it did hid

And I awoke my living room
Holding fast the curtains loom
Smiling at the running pane
Laughing at the driving rain

Happiness hides in your dwell
Bides within your wishing well.

Seymour darling heart and writer extraordinaire this is exceptionally beautiful, your gift with words is a constant inspiration to a soul too long denied love’s light. Beautiful writing utterly utterly beautiful, I love it utterly.

The way you spin words into wonder is always perfect and sometimes on days when the day seems particularly drab you are a positive shower of light and magic. Wonderful writing. It flows beautifully across the page like a sweep of rainbow hue.

Thank you Seymour for this all I can say is that’ll do nicely love x x

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire

could that image be any cooler?

and Sybabers...if you tear down Isabels drapes..your gonna catch hell!! LOL
You dont want Randy to get in the dog house and miss Cancun do you?

This was a rainyday delight Stinkylove...
its just like you to find us the silver lining in the shades of gray....send some of your rain to me and Martie...we are tired of dragging hoses around. LOL

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much ...
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch.

Ah, a slow dance mine in rondo time
in mirrored shine of saddened mime
a bit of glee 'twould have you see
if only the clown would grin merrily...

Sy

Sliding down rainbows is not an easy thing to do
takes a child's eyes and laughter glue

Loved this poem!

JM,
Everything has some sort of silver lining and would be glad to send the rain if I could

A delightful poem, Sy...
Its raining here this morning, which sets the perfect tone for reading your poem.
Last night we finally had a thunderstorm.
I hadn't seen one in a while, and I must say that it was quite enjoyable...
The lightning bolts seemed to come through the skylights and touch the livingroom floor.
I love the rain and I love your poem.
~ rainy day hugs
