Near golden sunsets

I'm dying
in sighing heart-wrenching breaths
of flutter petaled
pink carnations
and light sprinklings
of babywhite aster,
imagining every love locked look
that privately passes
from your sweet blue eyes
to find his,
horrid him,
he who holds your hand,
five fragile fingers
that only I should trace.
Your face,
soft in smile, with sparkling eyes,
instills my cries
in still echoes within my mind.
I cannot
with any ease
cast adrift the pleas
of my hungry heart.

ouch.

This is an apt and yet beautiful description of a very painful situation.

I think you just broke MY heart.

To have the starving occipital feed upon your words
Words that were meant to remain blind to these blue eyes
You say I am only hurting myself but I am also hurting everyone else,
I am the masochist and sadist of emotion,
You said that you never liked to lie,
But you also never said anything to me about beauty,
Is any beauty I have a lie then?

I still love you more than I should and I'm working on it but my emotional wrist will not be drained of its life.

Where are you these days, Sweet Intruder? Misting ya. Love these words. I knew I'd look in my library tonight and find something wonderful. Too bad I missed it before this.

Hope things are better than they were when you wrote this poem.

"two hearts will build the foundation for one point of light
a duet done with passion"

excerpt from "I Love You"
