In Your Poetic Mind

A ramble of sorts
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There were flames in the sky
    the weather was off
even July can be cold
--
    {we were use to hearing the trains;
their horns echoing the town}
          its all so tangled
In the morning you   wake
     from  languid nights
pockets full of shells,
shifting sand through fingers
rubbing, at the same time,
   stones
He left flowers in my name;
   orchids,  white and full of dew
as if a smile could change    the mountains
we have left to embark    upon
the canvas, the work of art-- {laughing}
    blue eludes  white on white
only the rain    can make me feel this
   way
I close my eyes
     shadows of color
spread   the deafness
on the    vibrant   dance floor
I say this because:
   my knees have   need for-- connection
of human warmth
In all this time
  I have learned the elegance
of life, from the shore you CAN see
the swells of the rising tides
The moon is    up  now
   the water will sleep
the wind will whisper
    the telling signs
    I stand,     still,     at the window
we are between
    midnight and darkness
waiting
The sky is that moment
The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket
I lean against the wind pretend I am weightless and in this moment I am happy
Breathtakingly beautiful Lauren.
I guess I'm kind of lost for words
at the moment!  It's always so
good coming from you and the way you
say it so lovingly.  Really really!!!
So beautiful and full of emotion are your words and you bring them to us on a canvas stretched on a frame of brilliance.  You write ... we learn ... you share ... we are blessed.  Excellent penning.
I know you will understand when I say....
for all the words that seem lost inside me...
for all the times I mourn the silence of my  butterfly muse...
I miss him most of all when I read your poetry..
but its also in your words that I find comfort and healing.
This exquisite piece of work is sanctuary,
thank you for that dear poetess.
=======================================
Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much ...
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch.
Lauren, this is outstanding!!  But, I simply delight in reading each and every thing that you write.  Like I have said, your words flow so smoothly and with a grace that is simply art in itself.  This was a pleasure for my soul........
Open the door and let your adventure begin!!!
Time waits for no one
yet you make stand still
a moment to touch the sky
to revel in all that is life
is not to be denied
May it always be so with you
Lauren,
I know you are hurting...so just a gentle *bump*
