Stop the Dance Complete

Today I changed to lavender, vanilla placed aside.
I stretched to span the floating softness,
captivated with thoughts of you,
caressed by eyes in mind of hold,
silently surrendering behind closed doors.

A moment's drowning to cleanse,
breaking the surface of warmth,
I couldn't stop the dance complete,
feasting on yesterdays dreams,
feeling a depth of touch
candlelight illuminating the shadows
that mimicked my every move.

I chanced upon this feeling, letting truth
be my consequence and now...
I let go my rhymes, escape my dreams,
respecting your wishes, as I distance myself
to stop the dance complete.

I stretched to span the floating softness,

These lines just float across the page and into my mind...
How very lovely, Maureen.

Are you sure you really want to 'stop the dance complete'?

Seems you'd want it to go on and on...enjoyed the poem, hope I'm not showing I missed the message all together.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Maureen darling heart in this delight you have excelled your usual high standard normally your writing shines, in this one poem you have written incandescence. I cannot praise you too highly. This is exquisite writing I love it utterly utterly. Truly beautiful

You will always have a dance within your soul darling heart

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire

"Are you sure you really want to 'stop the dance complete'?"  I am never sure of anything anymore...but sometimes  you have no choice, no matter what you really wish. And yes, you got the correct message. *s
