How prone are we to overlook
What we should value most,
The things we take for granted
A trait,
We should not boast.

The ordinary little things
That make this life worthwhile.
The friendly words,
The kindly deeds
The brightness of a smile.

This was written about my dearest and closest friend who will be moving to Mexico this week.  She hasn't even left yet and I miss her already.  She's one of those people whose smile and beauty lights up the whole room when she enters it.  So....all of you on here from Mexico...You are gaining a new star.....if you suddenly see a bright light within the skies.....It will be my friend Jane.....with her heart of gold and a smile to match.

I know how that is. My friend moved to New York a couple months ago. Very good poem.

This one begs to be added to.
Lovely writing.
