Marsha broke her 'puter
I'm sure she is distressed
But I can't help but giggle
Cause now she has to rest

Solitary confinement
Is what she'll have to do
Can you imagine Marsha
Without her yoo-hoo you

No more internetting
No more poets write
Without her computer
She'll have to sleep at night

To help in her decision
to make the 'puter well
she went ahead, deleted
all the files marked dee ell ell

She took it to the fixers
They laughed aloud with glee
For when she tried to mend it
She broke it more, you see

Don't you try to fix it
Next time Marsha dear
Or you will find the IT world
Grinning from ear to ear

She borrowed a replacement
I'm sure that she must find
Without all her net friends
She nearly lost her mind

But it's just a loaner
Until her son returns
Next time has a puter
I'm sure she'll live and learn

She will be more gentle
And treat it with respect
For computers are like weeds
That thrive on her neglect

Be sorry for our Marsha
For she must now confess
Without her own computer
Her friends will feel the stress

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

I likes. A very playful little piece you've got here!

LOL...so cute....and too true!
She's found a 'puter quickly
and now she's back in blue!

This is too cute. My friends son deleted important files on their computer and it crashed. Too funny.

My husband deleted the dee ell ell file on his computer, too. That's why I don't let him touch mine.

I laughed and laughed at this one, Keth...
When I first started using a computer, I kept messing mine up...its amazing that it survived at all.
This was before I met David and after my first husband was too sick to give me any guidance.

The computer I have now, is in excellent hands because David is one of the "fixers"
Thats what he does for a business...so every time I break something...he fixes it.
He's very handy to have around...but not just for my computer...

Keth beloved heart sister ohhhhh treachery your name is Keth. Isn’t it a good job I adore you? Otherwise I might just be forced to give you three more workshops to run, simultaneously

Now is this really cricket to tease me so?
Is it really funny when my ‘puter won’t go?
I won’t say it’s amusing because my darling Keth
My comp died completely it was wounded unto death

It’s all right you laughing but I’m telling you
That when your data’s gone you’re in an awful stew
Okay laugh on but I’ll tell you this my friend
That I’ll be laughing darling I’ll get you in the end

How often must I tell you don’t make fun of me?
You know the situation doesn’t deserve hilarity
So you think it’s funny, well it isn’t worth a grin
And if you don’t stop laughing I’m gonna do you in

This is your last warning stop your sniggering
If you don’t stop it now a new song you will sing
You’ll be singing blue notes from now to eternity
I warned you beloved sister not to laugh at me

Marsha

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire

Her computer misbehaved today
It took and hid her words away.
Now there's nothing it will do,
Except return a beep or two.

She pressed a key and got it wrong,
This blinking cursor came along
And pushed her words right off the screen,
Just as though they'd never been.

Drunk on words, the one eyed sot,
Went and gobbled up the lot,
burped and beeped, it's flickering stare,
plainly said it didn't care.
A mean and spiteful thing it is,
Those words she wrote were never his,
to keep and hide, but only lent,
and goodness knows just where they went.

It's just a know all box of switches,
that hypnotizes and bewitches
that lures her hard won poems and words,
her nouns, her adjectives and verbs,
into unseen electronic jaws,
that eats them up without remorse.

There it gloats with not a worry,
doesn't even say it's sorry,
It's lost her words and her affection,
She hopes they give it indigestion.

Kethy...your poem is great....one of the best I've read lately.....

ROFLMAO!!!!

Marsha, I'm so sorry that you're having such computer woes... but the poems and responses your miseries have inspired are awesome. LOL

This is great, Kethry... and major thumbs up to Marsha's and Toe's responses. *S*
