you inspire the air
to leave me
and take me there
on a wing of dreams

I pray to be wind
that you breathe
as love
and exhale as moments
that will linger
on the memory walls
in the halls of your mind

embossed in black and white
with color
and frames that sing
love songs
in other tongues
so you know heaven
has written the words

then there is now
when we are a cord
twisted from two fibers
like limbs entwined
dipped in the same wet
that makes sweet our flavor
and our bodies are mouths

we taste with heart tongues
that recognize
now we are just one

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Dark~
There are times
you turn the reader
into a puddle
of romantic mush,
this is one
of those times....
beautiful!

"we taste with heart tongues"

Your word choices are somehow intimate and innocent all at once, and? mmmmm...erotic!

oh yeah...

Happy Monday, ds!

Another stellar work, Dark. I enjoyed the entire piece, but, this is what really does it for me;

"I pray to be wind
that you breathe
as love
and exhale as moments
that will linger
on the memory walls
in the halls of your mind"

I do enjoy your labors, sir.
