As twilight moon
begin's to creep
in between
the limbs
of trees
and
like before
on a night
as this
her arms begin
their slow uncoil
stretching outward
into swirling wind
yearning for
a yesterday's dream...

And like the frail
autumn leaf
suspended in
an endless drift
so does her spirit
gravitate
into the breeze
of yesterday
where each new dawn
brought joy and love
and foreverafters
were not only found
in fairy tale novels...

how very lovely is this!!!!
Great use imagery here Coco!!
What a wonderful write of spirit and faith..
and a very cool picture to enhance your soft spoken delicate words.
Very cool to get to read you for a change Poetess-girlie

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much ...
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch.

I need to collect all of my favorite "moon" poems--sigh...this one will lead the way! saving this, Coco...it is wonderful to read you again. Loved it all but the opening imagery is just stunning and captures the mood of watching a moonrise.

Ahhhhhhhhh ... now this is what I am talkin' about.  You painted the vision with your words well and I didn't need to see the picture to see the portrait of your verse.  The following lines are one to treasure and never let go of:

And like the frail
autumn leaf
suspended in
an endless drift
so does her spirit
gravitate
into the breeze
of yesterday

************

Now that is a mix of pure poetic gold and imagery supreme.  Excellent to read your words again and I thank you for sharing a part of you in all that you write.
