On A Journey To The Unknown

I struggled all my life trying to get somewhere
And to this day I am still not there
He is always putting off until tomorrow
What he could do today
There are no more hopes in this life
There is only pain
I have been there once before you see
So it is for sure I can survive
I only hope before my time is up
I can have some peace
I always tried to do my best
to do the things that were right
No matter what I do or say
It seems it is always wrong
He tells me I am the problem
There is no one else to blame
I try to keep my spirits up
But, it seems so hard for me to do
He tears me down every chance he gets
And his chances are alot
Accusing me of things untrue
Things I never even thought of
It hurts me so much inside
To hear the things he says
It's hard to feel the love I felt
When he and I first met
The love was so strong you see
I don't know how it could have left
At times I feel so confused
I just don't know what to do

You have such a good heart and you're a fine poet...you deserve much more than you're getting!

I could infer from your poem that you're a strong lady...trying to keep your spirits up in spite of your frustrations. Hope one day he'll realise what a gem he has by his side all along.

Sue,
Happiness is not a gift from others,
Though grief they may in fact give.
It is up to us to anchor ourselves,
And experience joy by how we live.

That's why lemons make lemonade,
And sorrow can be turned to joy.
As for all the negative things said,
They are always just a ploy.

We can never minimize anothers challenges,
Rather we have an obligation to support.
I'd say he has to manage his own lemons,
So I offer that to you as your retort!

Can't fix your troubles but hope I brought you a smile. Courage to you dear Sue.

Show you care to those you love...today.

Lemons make lemonade....
so if life gives you lemons, you can make lemonade
I have made a lot of lemonade in my lifetime.
It tastes delicious with ice and sugar.
Drink up and enjoy life....
turn those lemons into something delicious.

I’ve been there Sue, and it’s not a pleasant place to be. I got out, and am loving my new life. Don’t know if that’s the solution for you or not…but, keep your spirits up, and do whatever’s best for you. Good luck..I’m sure you’ll get through this and find happiness again. Hugs.
