Time ran and out of a Memphis clock
Innovations occurred then, just take stock
In the forties America wasn’t ready
For a dance of gyrations, gents weren’t steady
There were no portable record players
No predictions of social change sayers.

Then the sands of the hourglass ran
Kerouac wrote what Americans had spanned
Young Tennessee man moved the way women liked
Stepped away from the mike, shook and spiked
started to lift his left leg, to do some little gyrations
next thing you knew, female mobs were at every station
He became the music: shocking and thrilling
A motto of energy release, generation instilling
Some said he toyed with emotion
he answered, “You can’t just stand like a statue”
look alikes started to pop up
Mob of women massed at each stop
He called everyone sir,
Aware of the cultural stir
and what it would bring
he replied "I’m not going to fight it",
it’s a really good thing,
To opposers it was vulgar,
In retrospect, it was revolutionary
now it’s nothing
Time emptied out from an hourglass clock
an innovation occurred, just take stock.

I know...I know...but, I'll sit on my hands...!
After all....some things were meant to be.
And, when you, take my hand, I'll stay off of your blue suede shoes!

Okay a few hours of sitting on your hands is painful enough..hehe..the answer in blue suede shoes..the man who rustled critics with his metaphoric "hound dog" and got notoriety with the great Ed Sullivan is none other than.......................
ladies and gentlemen Elvis Presley!!!
good going everyone!!You guessed it by putting in bits of titles
