On A Journey To The Unknown

0 posted 2002-07-07 02:47 PM

I look up at the sky at night
For the brightest star I can find
So I can make a wish for us
That everything will be just fine

I wish you could see what you do
Each time you take that first drink
The things that you say to me
You say before you even think

They say that words can't hurt you
But to this there is no truth
I wish that I could forget
All of the things I hear from you

I find myself feeling bad inside
From not loving you like before
It hurts my heart so much inside
All the way down to the core

Together I thought we would be
Until the end of time
But now it seems as though
You have changed your mind

I never thought it would be like this
My love for you was so strong
How could it have just gone away
As if inside it didn't belong

It is so hard for me to watch
As you drink yourself to death
I know the love is still there
I worry so about your health

Let's hope that he comes to his senses before he not only looses a love in his life but everything else as well.  It isn't easy watching someone we care about destroy themselves.  You penned your emotions well and took them on a complete journey to share with us.

I can feel the tears from between the lines, Sue...
and I hope that this is just beautiful poetry and not about the real.

(big huggssssss) Oh Sue, this is so very sad, sweet friend, I am zero-tolerant on drinking, smoking, and drugs and I know of the horrors they can do to health so my heart cries out to your friend! (sad sigh) I hope somehow we can be rehabilitated and treated, sweet friend, my prayers are with you, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Isn’t it the truth. Drinking has ruined so many lives, so many relationships. You’ve written this well… the pain of watching having to watch, unable to do anything about it.

A touching Poem that hits very close to home
with me. I wish you all the best.

I know that this poem was difficult for you to write, as it hits home for a lot of us here at Passions. You shared the pain in your heart, and in doing so, you helped others who feel exactly the same way. Many blessings on you, my friend, for your courage in a difficult situation. And may peace come to you tenfold.

Open the door and let your adventure begin!!!

Sue, I wish you could find happiness again. Some people do not want to get better no matter how much we want to help.
Other people are just plain mean. I don't know which one you are dealing with, but I feel your sadness.

Sue, I wish I could say I didn't know what you are going through, but I DO know....it is so hard to watch someone you care so much about do it to themselves, and then you come to acknoweldge that they must want it for themselves....I understand....you have my empathy friend.  *s*

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.

Yes it is the truth. Alot of damage has been done.

Thank you Paul. I hope you aren't going through something like this yourself.

Thank you Sandra for the hugs. When he is drinking, he can be very mean. But, don't worry, I am ok.

Gentle Spirit
I hope you aren't going through this, too. It is very hard to watch. Right now, he doesn't want help. Thank you.

Thank you all for your caring.
