Rememberings of the Future

I have missed the moments of you,
words that touch my lips to yours.
I count the seconds lost, to be shared
only in the mind, one that harbors the past
rememberings of the future.

I walk the shadows softly lit with shades of you
pulled tightly 'round me, blocking all else
leaving me hopeful, that I am in the holdings of your mind
unfolding slowly as you close the distance
between us.

Tomorrow is a day of knew, words of strength
grow in me as I contemplate you
through a clouded mind, wondering why and if
and would you if you could.

Every time I close my eyes, your face appears,
the racing of your heart transfers to mine
and I rise to the occasion borne of a love
that sustains even in the darkest hours.

Without you, I am not empty nor lonely,
for I have the memories, the feelings of desire
that keep me protected from the sorrows
that encroach upon and frustrate my soul.

I love you, spoken by I, maybe not enough
but often seen in hazel eyes
known by the blue of yours,
to secure our fate.

You deserve more than shades of gray,
color added to the black of your night
and white of your days, if only you could learn
to allow the hues to brush up against you...

I give to you my love, my support, my heart,
in words always, in touch upon real,
in looks from deep within, in tears that flow sacred
as thoughts slip away in moments of tranquility.

Let me touch your heart, that which you have fenced in,
protecting you from my reach, a friendship embossed in forever,
a dream in the making, no longer hidden,
but ready to ride any storm, mend any tears...
blend away the pain of life.

What else is there to say, how must one
prove their love, show their faith,
cradle their words to calm the fears
that cycle the nights waiting to share?

Romance is waiting, my existence infected
by a reign of deliverance, your soul mysting into mine.
I am within your grasp, stranded in wait
...but for how long?

M

Maureen darling heart how utterly utterly perfect is this, words soft and soothing flow over my soul from your pen. How beautifully you write, how clear the images are, and how special is your writing? I can only say this is perfect, truly beautiful writing and you are incredible.
Didn’t I tell you that this was utterly utterly wonderful writing? It is keep it up and you deserve to be crowned queen of someone’s heart, and not to have to wait until the never-when

Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
