The courting reporter
read it back to me
and it is there;
She called me Baby!

It came out quick,
with ease
between the wine
and bries
my hungry ears it pleased,
She called me Baby!

My doe heart
froze in light,
my grey hair
stood upright,
my hope roared
fahrenheit,
She called me Baby!

The little bird
whose trill
my stomach heard
and thrilled
an emptiness
was killed,
when She said Baby!

And it not once
but thrice,
my mind wept
Edelweiss,
sweet bird of paradise
had called me Baby!

When we rose
from her bed
in throes
of passion's fed
(though Love was
never said)
She called me Baby!

What should I
make of this
sweet mouth
I long to kiss?
(and somewhat south
of this)
or was it maybe?

Now there's
an echo here
(and too a
timid fear)
again please
whisper Dear
that I'm your Baby

I don't know what inspire
brought this to your ear
but I'm glad your baby
called you dear...

This was charming!  We have missed you!

It sounds as if you have a great reason to be so elated but I do have ONE ?  If you were jumping from the throes of bed ... where the heck was the courting reporter to have recorded all of this??????  NEVER MIND!!!  I think that best be left alone. :!  Wonderful write.  The flow was flawless and the presentation had a very inticing quality about it.  I very much enjoyed and NO ..... I ain't gonna touch that "south" line.

So reminds me of Liam when I call him my snugglebunny.

This was such a fun read! It's always nice when someone you care about, or want to care about, calls you a cuddly name...too often in life, we are called the other names!!  Enjoyed this too!!

Open the door and let your adventure begin!!!

this is wonderful and incredible.  I am so glad she called you baby, it is great to see this side of you, and it is great to see you back!

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.
