If you listen, you can hear as it closes evermore
upon the 'used-to-be's' and 'could-have-beens'
All futile effort laid to rest within it's hopeless room
As one door closes, fate unlocks another down the hall
You step inside, and life begins, again...

If letting go was easy, all the broken hearts would mend
We cling to what's familiar, what we know
The fear of losing looms above our heads like some great bird
that flies away once through the newly opened door we pass
As we're greeted by our dreams of long ago...

I can almost hear your thoughts as I attempt to write mine down
You don't see how this verse relates to you
Just let me add a final thought, while I have you reading here
If where you're at, you're not content and happy just to be
There's a door ahead and you simply walk right through
As one door closes, another opens
worked for me
It will for you!

The above verses were only meant to mirror my own philosophy and personal solutions.Everybody's situation is different, as we are all individuals. The only point I am getting at here, is that life holds more than one doorway, and we are creatures of free choice.Nothing is set in stone until the end.Don't let fear of the unknown hold you back...
Enjoy your life daily, as every second is precious!

Peace and light to all...
Sunnyone

Open the door and let your adventure begin!!!

OMIGOSH!!
ITS YOU!

Its sooo wonderful to have you around. I hope its more permanent.
I know exactly what you mean with this poem, Lady..and to let you know..I have walked through that other door. I'm still walking carefully though.

I will not bend to the cowardice of a silent judgement.

hello my friend...
Yes, it is I.....back from a long journey into the land of destiny!  It's good to see you again, and glad you were the first to click on this piece of thought.  Yes, sometimes we need to walk carefully, with eyes open, but always forward!!  Thank you!

Open the door and let your adventure begin!!!

Yes I believe sometimes we need to open another door but fear and uncertainy hold us back...so we stay where we don't really want to be...we stay unhappy...fortunately I am happy right now...James

If only everyone took your words on board Sunny, we would all be as happy as you are.
You really did slam that door shut behind you, and opened a new one that led you into a new life, in a new Country, even.    That takes BALLS!!!!!!!!   Not many have enough drive to get out of the room (rut) they are stuck in.    Great poem !!!!!!!
These are thoughts from your new husband !!!!!

(smiles) Oh Sunnyone, this is beautiful, sweet friend, yes, your words hold so much true wisdom, for every door that closes indeed unlocks another, and it is important to carry on for if we are standing in the hallway dwelling in our past losses, it wouldn't do any good staying so it helps to take a risk and see what tomorrow brings, for one door will hold the ultimate happiness! (kiss on cheek) This is fabulous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sunnyone, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Theres lots of truth to this one, Sunnyone.
Its interesting to think about the many paths our lives couldv'e taken, had we walked through another door instead of the one we chose.
I love the poem and the thoughts behind it.
~ lots of hugs

Sunny
I knew that sooner or later you would pop your head in again.  I, too, have slammed the door behind me and have ventured out into a new world.  You have much wisdom in your words.  And, Welcome Jon - nice of you to join us and you are the lucky one - you have Sunny!  Congrats to you both.

What can I say to you that you don't already know about this poem? Your love, understanding and support helped me to open a new door, and your hand was there to guide me through. I only hope that all of my family here at Passions will find the one who waits for them on the other side of their doors........

Sunshine
thank you, and it is so very good to be back here once again. And I know my husband will come to love this circle of family as much as I do!!

Mark
I am always so happy to see you in reply! It means a lot, and warms my heart to know that I have friends like you! And thank you for mentioning my pic!!

Noah
You don't know how nice it is to get your replies!! They always leave me with a smile, and feeling exceptionally good!! Thank you!!

Madame Chipmunk
oh yes, I know exactly what you mean, as I used to be afraid to close old doors and walk through new ones. I did always wonder what I was missing!  But, sometimes it takes us humans a while to get up the courage. Thank you!!

Coco
and it is sooooooo very good to have come back full circle.  The break gave me insights I needed, and now I feel I can share on a much more relaxed basis. Good to see you, my friend!!

I believe that familiarity is a natural goal for the human race. Everything in life is so uncertain, that we do tend to cling to what is familiar.  But I am finding that the 'unfamiliar' holds limitless possibilities, and very pleasant rewards!! Thank you, my friend.......

Sandra
oh yes, my lil sis, I do know that you are also a 'seeker', and that when your door does finally loom before you, you will dance magically through it into a beautiful place. I will gladly be there cheering you on!!!!!

Vandana
how very nice to see you again, and I hope to be reading you and enjoying your thoughts as I always have done in the past!!  And thank you for your reply, too!!

Ariana
Yes, you have had the courage to shove that new door wide open, and welcome your new life, also!  I know you understand the fears, the 'what-if's' that go along with that action, but you will also know the blessings of taking that step. And thank you from both John and I, as we walk down our new road together. It means a lot to be able to share time with our close friends!!

Thank you all, and much love to you in your ventures!!
