I'm waiting for your safe return
to see the smile deep in your eyes
waiting for the tides to change
so we can talk a little while

I'm waiting for the pain to go
to somehow ease your troubled mind
I'm at the gate, can't pass you know
and so I wait here for a sign

The winds, they whimper in my ear
the skies they've seen the torrent rain
the sun has long since disappeared
shunned by you, it shines in vain

a raven rests upon my shoulder
eyes so wise, I have to see
I shall wait until it's over
this ache that takes you 'way from me

at the gates, I wait for you
fingers locked around cold bars
tormented by your tears and sighs
I long to be there where you are

I'm waiting for your safe return
one smile to quench this burning thirst
one look within in your deep dark eyes
to herald the leaving of this curse

I miss you...

Let somebody block my sun once...wouldn't recommend it...lol.  This is a different style than I expect from you, I like it.

Forgetting all I'm lacking
Completely and complete
I'll take your invitation
You take all of me

Sunshine, I hope that's not an entirely bad thing... *smiles*

Duncan, sometimes it's good to take a break from the norm...

Thank you both!

Damn Tier,
Do you post your best stuff in "Open"?
This is (and I risk my manly "rep" here) touching me in my sad and poignant place.
