An Abstract Skip

I take what I'm handed under any skies overhead
But, I tend to fall when I'm beneath it alone
I remain in the corner of what complete couldn't finish
And, sometimes, without you, emptiness is my new home...

I can move to the center of divine when my heart finds you
An abstract skip from desertion to fullness in life
Against that sky where the shades of evening dance out there
My skip into secure can handle the night...

The lack of stillness that I need from a days end
Finds me in appreciation to my minds ability to capture us
And, until peace shakes the hands of sadness inside
Any given day at heart's not enough...

The rain remains on my skin like the oils of insane
It touches me but runs all over for destination to seep
And, that one little place that wasn't covered by your arms
Absorbs the lifetime waters that somehow finds me...

From wearisome to negative that the day's left me with
I search for that so obvious and fortunate gift
I create from a moment ran dry tears dwelling in eyes
With my abstract skip from uncertain to your strength inside...

I don't take time wasting when your soul sets that sun
If you're in the distance you can bet I will run
My abstract skip from unpleasant to the shelter provided
Lends me a kinder road when I'm able to find it...

Here I stand in my own hearts calling to greed
From a skip, to a run is now a leap to believe
That when I expect the impossible the miles sing aloud
I find reason and the season to stop wearing this ground...

I love it when you finally get around here.
